Every plan starts with a free 14-day trial and no credit card is required to begin. During the trial you can answer prompts, record your voice, add photos and video, and invite family — the same experience a paying member has. When the trial ends, everything you have saved stays safe in your account.
The Legacy plan is $39 a year and includes every digital feature: unlimited stories and guided prompts, the adaptive AI interviewer, voice, video and photo stories with transcription, family collaboration, future and farewell messages, and digital trustees. The Keepsake plan is $74 for the first year and adds a professionally printed 6×9 hardcover memoir book delivered in your first year, then renews at $39 a year. The Premium Keepsake plan is $128 for the first year and includes a large-format 12×12 hardcover coffee-table book instead, then renews at $39 a year. About two minutes a day. One prompt arrives, you answer it, and that is the whole commitment. Nothing is lost if you skip a few days — the next prompt simply waits for you. You can also change how often you hear from us, from every day down to once a month.
Yes. You can speak your answer and it is transcribed for you automatically, or record a video so your family sees your face and hears your voice. The recording is kept alongside the written version, so the way you actually said something is never lost. Many members never type at all.
Yes. Personal Time Capsule can call your phone and interview you out loud, which many members prefer to typing. Turn on phone interviews in Settings, choose your preferred call time, and pick the interviewer's voice. You will get a text reminder shortly before the call, and there is a Call Me Now button if you would rather record right away. Your answers are transcribed and saved as stories automatically.
Yes. Your Media Library holds all your photos and videos in one place — take a new picture, or bring several in at once — and you can attach any of them to a story and add captions. Items stay in your library so you can use the same photo again elsewhere.
Yes. You can invite family or friends to add their perspective to a story; they receive a private link by email, and you approve what they send before it joins your story. Family can also send you questions they would love answered, and you can invite someone to share a favourite memory about you in their own words.
Yes. Your stories can become a professionally printed hardcover memoir book, with QR codes linking the printed pages to your voice and video recordings. The Keepsake plan includes a 6×9 hardcover in your first year, and the Premium Keepsake plan includes a large-format 12×12 coffee-table book. Book pages build up automatically as you tell your stories.
A trustee is someone you appoint to receive access to your capsule when the time comes. You add them in Settings, they are invited by email, and they accept with their own secure sign-in. You decide who they are and what they receive.
A future message is written or recorded now and delivered to someone on a date you choose — a birthday, a wedding, an anniversary. A farewell message is held privately and delivered to the people you choose, through your trustees, after you pass.
Yes. Your stories are private by default and nothing is shared unless you choose to share it. Your content is encrypted and stored securely, and we never share your personal content with third parties without your explicit consent. You can download, print, or export your stories, documents, and messages at any time.
Yes, you can cancel whenever you like from your account settings, and you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for. Your stories remain yours — you can always read and export what you have written.
A Personal Time Capsule app for iPhone and Android is in final testing and coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. In the meantime the website works on any device, including phones and tablets.
We maintain a dedicated reserve fund allocated to hosting and data maintenance, intended to keep your memories, messages, and documents secure and accessible for at least 25 years even if we stopped accepting new members, with a goal of extending that to 100 years. You can also download, print, or export your stories, documents, and messages at any time and keep your own copies, so your legacy never depends on any one platform.
